Job Title: Service Desk Analyst

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Service Desk Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the company's IT network, servers, and security systems. Your primary function will be to respond to internal customer IT support calls in a polite and efficient manner. You should be comfortable liaising with internal customers in person, over the phone, or via email.
Key Responsibilities: As a Service Desk Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1st and 2nd tier helpdesk support
- Logging and prioritizing end-user faults and queries
- Installing and maintaining PCs and printers
- Installing PC-based software applications
- Troubleshooting, fixing, and repairing desktop, laptop, and server issues
- Providing advice and technical support to end-users regarding specific operational and applications issues
- Ensuring software is installed correctly, licenses are safely stored, and license count is adhered to
Skills & Experience Required: To excel in this role, you should have comprehensive IT knowledge and the ability to quickly resolve both standard and unusual technical issues. Key skills and experience include:
- Proficiency in SQL and HTML
- Managing VPNs, firewalls, and network security
- 1st/2nd helpdesk support
- Customised PC and server builds
- Exchange 2010 administration
- Experience using a helpdesk ticketing system
- Developing relationships with suppliers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Windows 2012/2016/2019 and Mac OSX
- Use of virtualization (VMware)
- Checking, maintaining, and restoring backups in Veeam
- Active Directory, group policy user account creation
- Experience working within an ERP system-driven environment
- Strong analytical, logical, and troubleshooting skills
- At least two years’ experience in a customer-facing IT support role
The Offer: This is a full-time, permanent position working day shift (9am to 5pm), Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, with one hour for lunch.
