Role Overview
We are seeking a Engineer or Technician specialising in Electrical Systems within the manufacturing sector to join our client just north of Glasgow. This role involves providing expert support in PLC and SCADA control systems, with a focus on Siemens automation technologies. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems to optimise production efficiency in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, implement system upgrades, and ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
Role Requirements
- Level 7 NVQ qualification or equivalent in Systems Engineering
- Experience with PLC programming and fault diagnosis on Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Omron platforms
- Proficient reading, translating, and updating electrical drawings and ladder diagrams
- Knowledge of instrumentation, control design, and risk assessments
- 3-5 years' relevant industry experience is desirable
