Credit Controller

STEM Recruitment Solutions are delighted to be recruiting for a Credit Controller on behalf of our Edinburgh-based client.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy finance team where you'll play a key role in managing customer accounts, reducing aged debt and supporting healthy cash flow. We're looking for someone with strong communication skills, a proactive approach and previous credit control experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer accounts, ensuring payments are collected on time.
- Chase outstanding invoices and resolve payment queries.
- Assess customer creditworthiness and set appropriate credit limits.
- Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing disputes.
- Maintain accurate customer records and credit files.
- Monitor aged debt and minimise credit risk.
- Work closely with finance, sales and customer service teams to resolve account issues.
About You
- Previous experience in a Credit Control role.
- Strong understanding of UK credit control processes and best practice.
- Experience using ERP or finance systems.
- Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential.

Location: Edinburgh (fully office-based)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36.5 hours per week
