STEM Recruitment Solutions is searching for a Facilities Engineer to join our client based in Glasgow. This role is a temporary position for 12 months. In this role you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our client’s facility and ensuring optimal operational efficiency through planned and reactive maintenance as and when required. There is scope for this role to become a permanent position within the company.
Role Duties:

Fault find and repair building services and equipment – this can be anything from equipment in the production area, to faulty plumbing or groundskeeping

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules

Handle maintenance requests as and when they come in through the work order systems – document these tasks accurately on the system

Complete risk assessments prior to any maintenance in adherence to Health and Safety procedures

Work with other departments to plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimise effect on operations

Support continuous improvement initiatives across the department and site

Perform daily plant and utility checks
Qualifications and Experience:

Engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or degree)

Open to junior or graduate-level candidates with limited hands-on experience, provided they have a strong engineering education background

Willingness to learn

Exposure to maintenance systems, facilities, or process equipment would be beneficial but not essential

Salary:
- Starting from £17.00 per hour
