STEM Recruitment are recruiting for a number of temporary Machine Process Technicians to join a well-established manufacturing business operating within a specialised production environment.
This role centres around taking ownership of a dedicated production machine and overseeing a manufacturing process from start to finish. You will be responsible for monitoring production, carrying out quality checks, recording process data and ensuring products are manufactured safely and efficiently.
The machinery used on site is bespoke to the operation, therefore direct experience with the equipment is not required. We are interested in candidates who have worked within manufacturing, processing or industrial environments and are comfortable managing production processes independently.
Key Responsibilities

Operating and overseeing a dedicated production machine

Monitoring process performance and making operational adjustments where required

Carrying out measurements, inspections and quality checks

Recording production information using computer-based systems

Maintaining excellent housekeeping and 5S standards

Identifying and escalating equipment issues to the maintenance team

Working closely with colleagues across production and quality functions

Ensuring compliance with health, safety and quality procedures
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will receive full training and ongoing support. This position would suit individuals from manufacturing, process operations, heavy industry, materials processing, foundry, production or similar industrial backgrounds.
The position is temporary for 4-6 months with the strong potential for permanent employment after successful placement.
Shift Pattern
Rotating shift pattern consisting of:

2 weeks on days

2 weeks on nights
Working Monday to Thursday on a 4-day working week.
