We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our client’s operation in Glasgow.
This is a hands-on role within a heavy industrial environment, suited to someone who thrives on problem-solving, preventative maintenance, and keeping critical machinery running efficiently. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, carrying out welding and fabrication work, completing routine inspections, and supporting installation activities across site.
Working as part of an established engineering team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and site safety within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What we’re looking for:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Technician within heavy industry

Strong welding and fabrication experience

Knowledge of hydraulic systems and rotating equipment

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation

Confident using hand and power tools with strong mechanical aptitude

Welding certification or experience fabricating high-speed rotating parts

Proactive approach to fault finding and preventative maintenance

Flexible attitude towards working hours and team-based working

Willingness to support weekend cover - working 1 in 5 weekends on a rota

Salary starting from £43,000+ depending on experience
