About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join a busy industrial manufacturing site in Glasgow as a contractor. This long-term client of ours is seeking an interim manager to lead a skilled engineering team and maintain smooth operations while supporting process development and continuous improvement projects. The contract is expected to last between 3-6 months
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Maintenance Department, overseeing a team of engineers including mechanical and electrical supervisors, reliability engineers, and technicians.

Ensure the effective execution of planned and reactive maintenance activities, minimising downtime and maximizing equipment reliability.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on process optimization and the implementation of best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and process developments.

Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a culture of safety within the team.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff.
Key Requirements

Time-served engineer with experience in maintenance roles.

Experience leading a team of Engineers.

Strong technical background in mechanical and electrical systems.

Experience in chemicals, heavy manufacturing, or process industries would be advantageous.

Proven ability to oversee process improvements and continuous improvement projects.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and support a team.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
