STEM Recruitment is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client in Perthshire. This role involves ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of plant machinery at a busy processing facility. You will support both reactive and planned maintenance activities, aiming to minimise downtime and improve operational performance within a fast-paced environment. The role is mechanically biased with some electrical work, requiring a proactive approach to maintenance and safety standards.
Role Duties:

Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on plant equipment including conveyors, compressors, hydraulics and pneumatics, motors, and more.

Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and conduct root cause analysis.

Assist in continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and supporting equipment upgrades or process modifications.

Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.

Ensure work areas are safe, clean, and hazard-free, participating in safety initiatives. Support basic facility maintenance and assist with contractor supervision as required.
Role Requirements:

Mechanical Engineering qualification (or equivalent) - e.g. SVQ/NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND

Experience in a mechanical maintenance role in an industrial setting

Experience with plant machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, or conveyors

Additional training or experience in electrical engineering desirable but not essential

Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and support team collaboration
This is a full time permanent position, working Monday - Friday with occasional weekend work and nightshift work required on a swing basis.
